Novacare Medical provides reproductive, mental, sexual, and breast health services at our facility. The women’s health providers we employ are ready to assist with well-woman visits, regular screenings, and any acute or chronic health concerns you may be facing.
Novacare Medical in collaboration with Steward Medical Group provides high-level preventive care for all age groups from well-child visits, and adult physicals to annual wellness visits to Medicare Patients. We recommend all patients see their primary care provider annually for physicals. This gives a unique opportunity to identify and prevent many medical conditions that can affect overall well-being.

Women’s Health Treatment and Procedures:
- Annual women’s health exam – These routine exams check for changes in the breasts, a pap screen, and a full pelvic exam. Dr. Patel will check for changes, growths, or unusual discharge.
- Reproductive Options – We provide a full range of birth control options for our patients to aid in your family planning. Options include the diaphragm, Depo Provera injections, IUDs, and more.
Wellness exams are essential to tracking your ongoing health and ensuring that any developing concerns are caught early. During these exams, you’ll be able to discuss any concerns you have as well as any goals you hope to achieve regarding your ongoing health.
The first part of your exam will be discussing the health history of yourself and your immediate family. This will be followed by a pelvic and breast exam and a pap smear for those 21 and older. These pap smears occur every three years and include a cervical cancer screening. Starting at age 30, these tests will continue and will include an additional pap test that includes screening for HPV every five years. The human papillomavirus (HPV) test can also be performed alone every five years
Dr. Patel and his team may suggest other screenings depending on the specifics of your health and the exam findings. These can include:
- Diabetes
- Cholesterol
- Hypertension (High Blood Pressure)
- Osteoporosis
- STI (sexually transmitted infections)
